""Fleet Feet""
Oratory
In recent football trials, coaches have done a myriad of things adjusting to the spread or spread option.
Almost all of the adjustments were of the defensive variety. BTW, nothing is working to stop it.. But recently, Coach Sumlin, of all things an Aggie, made an adjustment on the offensive side. You couldn't really credit Sumlin, it happened by accident. They inherited Manziel, so it wasn't his genius that led to this. Instead, in spring training he started producing more yardage gained than all the other QB's together.
What happened was a mixture of really, really quick feet, running the Sumlin version of the hurry up spread...
Now look at what happened. GP just made an adjustment. He got a kid with the best feet I've seen since well, Johnny Football himself. He is "Feet" Allen, from now on.
Make you a prediction. All the QB's from now on, will be evaluated as much for the feet, as for their arm.....Brings up a question. Does a nifty footed QB a better passer, because of his feet, or is it, he is just a good passer. I've noticed the nimble feet seem to throw better on the run. Uh, last year, at least....
Brought to you by the original amatuer evaluator... "Just watchin"..........
