OMAHA, Neb. – More than 43,000 fans packed TD Ameritrade Park to watch four of the best teams in the nation. During 24 innings of baseball, those fans saw an average of a run per hour.
 
“I’ve got to be careful here before I say some things about this ballpark that I’ll regret,” TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle said. “It’s just a travesty what we’ve done to college baseball.”
 
It’s safe to say the ball park has lived up to its reputation of killing offenses.
 
During the eight hours of games during Tuesday’s College World Series Texas Tech, Ole Miss, TCU and Virginia scored eight runs. A 25-30 mph wind blowing in from center field acted as a performance enhancing drug to the already overwhelming dimensions (335 down the line, 375 power alleys, 408 center). ...
