Hatch chili fest at central market

What is the best hatch chili thing they sell there? I don’t understand the obsession?

The correct answer is the chocolate Hatch chile gelato, although this year’s other specialty flavor - Hatch chile key lime pie - is pretty good too. Also not bad in some of the cheeses. For the most part, the Hatch [ Finebaum ] is a gimmick, though. Just buy the plain ol chiles (fresh and roasted).

The brat-like hatch pepper cheese sausage is good. grill those and some onions and serve in a hatch flour tortilla.

Went to Central Market yesterday. The meat department had a sausage stuffed, bacon wrapped Hatch pepper that looked fantastic. They were $5 per pepper. In retrospect, I wish I had purchased some.
