Candlebox was OK. Got one of their albums because I didn’t mail the decline postcard in to BMG in time one month.
You got that on 8-track or reel to reel?

Toadies have some great music. I think nationally Candlebox is bigger although I’m not a big fan. Toadies are more regional. Going to see them at Martin House later in May.Where do The Toadies fit in there? I am biased but i think theyre better than Candlebox. Prolly similar in value nationally though.

I like some of Jack White's stuff but he gets a little too out there for me at times. Y'all ever see that surprise SXSW performance he had a number of years ago where he introduced Seasick Steve? That dude is pretty kickass (he shows up around 5:30 into this):
Grohl got dem brilesboobs
I saw them at Martin House a few years ago. Good ship.
Going to their Martin House show next month. Awesome that they do a show at the brewery every few years.
Yep. Cool to see them in such a small venue.
Saw the Toadies back in ‘96 in Amarillo at a small club that help prob less than 300.
I’ve seen some good shows - Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Pantera w/ dimebag - I’m tempted to list the Toadies as my fav show of them all.
They rocked the scheissing [ steaming pile of Orgeron ] out of that club.
I’ll be out of town or else I’d go to that Martin House set.
Debate: FF > Nirvana?
Pat Smear was in both bands too
Don’t like either, honestly, but I’d vote for Nirvana.
You had to be a hardcore local rock fan in the mid nineties. Toadies, Tripping daisy two of the few to make big label waves from a much larger talent pool than people realize. I'd dare to say it was the heyday of modern local rock. You made that up
No debate. FF>Nirvana
