What I would really like to see is a recreation of the Snake River attempt. As kids we were all jazzed thinking he was going to jump the river with a rocket powered motorcycle. Then the morning of the event we learn Evel was going for it with a salt flats hybrid rocket with no wheels. He crashed with a parachute, and it somewhat tarnished his legacy.

It continues to be one of my life regrets that over a move from one apartment to another I lost a pic of Howard Cosell at Green Valley Raceway in North Richland Hills, circa 1971-72-73, for an Eval jump to be broadcast live on ABC sports....It was Texas-windy that day and the wind caught his toupe sides, making them look almost like bat wings as they stood out almost 90 degrees away from his head....But the spirit glue kept the crown of the wig securely flat on top of his head....I can still see it in my mind, but don't have documentary proof, dammmit....
