Today we made the tough decision to put our Dog, Tank, down. He was born during the Rose Bowl, so we figured Tank was as fitting of a name as we could pick. A little sliver of that Rose Bowl magic will leave our house tonight.

Dogs are the best. Major condolences.

Have had to do this three times and always say we’ll never get another and always do. At least you will have two good memories when you think of him and Pasadena…

We've lost three "best friends" over the years...It's always painful but the sweet memories and funny-to-no-one-else stories will get you by.

And if anyone says "Oh, it's only a dog" just kick them really hard in the gonads.

I grew up on a farm, so we had many dogs and other pets and it was always painful to lose them, but you grew accustomed to the facts of life over time. However, he was my wife's first pet, so she's having a rough time with it. I'm not sure if she'll be up for another pet any time soon. We'll see how she feels in a couple months.
