Hard to overcome stupidity

Especially when it is coming from a veteran, senior punt returner who apparently doesn't know where he is on the field and tries to field a punt going backwards inside the 10.

The offensive play-calling was mostly poor and the execution of it compounded it.

Then as usual GP wants to put the games in the hands of his defense, but on the last drive he plays back and lets a RS freshman QB move his offense rioght down the field with no pressure that I could see.

Oh well, this team is going to be really good the next couple of years so chalk this up for the young guys and move forward.

The senior receiver has great speed, a good receiver and vision. But, does not have the head or hands of a punt returner.

I cringed all season long on punt returns when the punt was being fielded.

Still not understanding why Patterson left him on Punt returns after several similar dumb mistakes made this season,(and last season)?
I put this on Patterson and Sharp as much as Dawson.

You can blame GP but all Sharp can do is coach Dawson not catch the punt for him. Why he left him back there after all the mistakes this season is beyond me. Just like Greg McCoy last season.

We have been spoiled over the last several years having Cory Rodgers and Jeremy Kerley back there to field punts. I think Brandon Carter is the player the coaching staff wants to have back there. I don't think he is back there though because he has been playing hurt all season.

Loss didn't come down to one play. It was a team effort. Frogs had plenty chances to end the game in the 1st 3 qtrs.

Just saying that the muff wasn't the only reason Frogs lost that game. Obviously the more direct and visible, but by no means THE reason for the loss.

Both coaches played the same hand by leaning on defense and waiting for the opponent to make a mistake We dropped 3 int's and missed on a qb fumble. MSU made more mistakes, but Frogs couldn't/didn't capitalize on them. With the exception of a few plays, TCU players were in position to make game-changing plays.

As in any game, there are several reasons for a win or loss. Any number of plays could be interpreted as the ONE.

In this game, THAT PLAY was LARGELY the reason for the loss. This is the one that we wish we could have back.

After a night's sleep, I empathise with Skye Dawson. In all likelyhood his TCU career will be remembered as a "fumbler." I'm sure he's a good fellow and has the FROG FACTOR. I'm sorry for him as well as the rest of the team and Frog community...this stings us all...we KNOW that TCU is a winner and this game was an aberation.

7-6 considering all, was a GOOD season (I sat through the Shoffner 0-11 1976 season, I know what a BAD season looks like!)

Thanks players and coaches on your good work.

After having committed such a monumental blunder

it was somewhat surprising to see Skye lined up to

receive the kickoff following the Spartan touchdown.

Fifth or sixth time......shame on our staff for blindly putting him back there time and again. It's not like he really had crazy success like Kerley or our other great punt returners of the past. He does not break tackles, his moves are average. He can't catch the ball. His only benefit was raw speed. Yet he was sent back to return punts all the time. If Syke got a 20 yard return that's about his best effort. Those don't make up for the repeated muffs and poor decisions.

This has been a KNOWN problem all season yet no one cared enough to do anything about it. Then it costs us a bowl game. The time for making excuses is long gone. Someone needs to take responsibility for this continued horrendous decision making and suffer some consequences.

The defense getting caught with their pants down on the Bell pass was also a big play. You could see that coming before he took the snap.
