Guess which Big 12 team is in last place in recruiting by a huge margin? Yup you guessed it ! The sand Aggies ! Their recruiting has literally fallen off the map and it will get much much worse before it gets better.

(Tcu recruiting is struggling badly this yr also and is in the bottom 3 of the league but not struggling quite as horrifically as TTech recruiting is!)

TTech is about to lose even more of their current commitments including 4 star OLineman Maurice Porter who is considered a lock to decommit from TTech and switch to Tcu. Two other current TTECH commits are close to flipping to other schools also.

Wow what a drop!

I guess ESPN was right when they said last year that TTech would by far, be the Big12 team that got hurt the most in recruiting by bringing Tcu into the league. ESPN went on to explain that no recruit will now choose TTech over Tcu if he has a choice between the two, since both are in Big 12. TTech only recruiting advantage in the past over Tcu was that a kid could play in the Big 12 at TTech, but that advantage is now gone and TTechs 2013 recruiting class is reflecting that devastating loss of recruiting cache vs Tcu.

The upcoming loss by TTech of very highly recruited current Tech commit - OLineman Maurice Porter will be the devastating exclamation point to this issue and will drop TTech down even further to a national recruiting ranking of around #85 or so which is the usual ranking area of teams such as RICE, MIDDLE TENNESSEE, and UL MONROE !

Unreal the dramatic and catastrophic drop in recruiting we are now seeing in Lubbock !

Made a suasage & mushroom quiche for breakfast. Great hangover relief even though only had a couple of glasses of wine last night. Jimmy Dean with added sage & basil (not sweet basil). A spicy bloody and Community coffee went well with it.

(keep in mind that TTech is about to lose their best OLineman commit to Tcu as well as 2 other current commits so this TTech class is likely to get much much worse in next 30 days - not better!)

(and KINGSBURY is considered a great X and O guy but a poor recruiter so don't count on any last second recruiting miracles from him)

Went to bed around 5:00AM, woke up at 11:00, went to Whataburger at 12:30 for lunch

Got the Whatasized #2 (double meat burger), substituted a chocolate shake for the drink. Still working on the shake.

Pretty sure I out-Whataburgered everyone else at the restaurant

That's what we call "Getting out-Whataburgered". This story makes me envious. I had work at 8am.

Does anyone do black-eyed peas for good luck on new years day anymore Trying to decide what to conjure up for dinner and thought I'd get some tamales, black-eyed peas and some mixture of raw veggies. Anyone have a suggestion to top that is quick and easy?

Got the peas and ham on now and just put the jalapeno cornbread in the oven.

We hew to the blackeye mantra....in fact, a can of blackeyes spiced up with a little chunky salsa (hot variety) is one of my staple dishes all year round....
