I agree with you if the CEO of TCU football makes a foolish decision and schedules the team to depart DFW at 8 PM on a Wednesday prior to a game on the following Saturday. You need to have your team over several time zones across the ocean at least a week prior to the game.

I've tried to find UNC's departure time and can't after only a 5 minute search. It figures. Belichick is probably more educated on warfare than any other coach in Football. That TCU left last Wednesday at 8 pm came from James Westling Big 12 studios podcast.

It is true that NFL teams generally arrive the day before their contest. They are arriving in the foreign destinations on radically different aircraft. Aircraft & Staff that help balance and maintain circadian rhythm & deep stage sleep. Personal responsibility for one's sleep regiment amongst 17-23 Yos I would argue is quite different vs. 22-35 Yos making 3 to 30 mil per annum.
The 49rs won at least 2 super bowls at least partially because Eddie DeBartolo's demands for stellar travel at 30k feet. Please send me the link where UNC arrived within a couple hours of TCU along with the preparation UNC had in the weeks before. Not trying to be contrarian. Belichick and staff had far more experience with overseas games than Frog staff. Far from same conditions. Tarheels flew from east coast.

UNC may have arrived 3 hours earlier but where you take off from makes a difference on your clock. TCU may have sat on Tarmac for another hour and transfers to Acoms could be another hour. Once again taking off in the middle of the country vs the east coast not the same conditions. Taking off for an international flight at 1 in the morning vs just b4 9 pm for teens is not the same conditions.No clue what their circadian / rest prep was vs ours other than the outcome "that the whole nation will be watching as we are not competing with anyone else in the time slot."
Flight Radar has everything - both teams were under similar conditions (long haul flight) and if anything, UNC would have been more tired on landing having left after midnight whereas our guys could try to sleep. See flight duration on both. I think we are stretching if there is a view UNC was more prepared re logistics.
My mind is spinning more on the above reported payout to a one year player. I know this is now standard and even far subpar of a payout to other programs, still don't like it! Which brings us back to all of this (college sports 2026) beyond our own program is a &&&&-show. There have been too many examples of players who have more genuine reason to step up and prove themselves under pressure beyond $233K a week: Seals / Kohlhausen / etc. We would be remiss to not give QB2/3 a few snaps and see what they do.

If you have worked in a big company, you'd understand there are some people that somehow made a whole lot of money despite not really knowing much about how the company operates.
Some people get very lucky in life and are given chance after chance. Let's not forget Sonny was given a job here after he got fired from Cal in 2017. Cal paid his buyout of close to $6 million). Think the Sonny Cumbie connection helped.
Being here, he got lucky again when Morris decided to take the Arkansas job, opening up the SMU job. He even claimed to be a SMU fan growing up in his introductory press conference with them. Not that that has anything to do with us. But just weird how it all happens. He definitely got out of dodge at the right time. SMU fans were tired of him.
Dykes is of just those guys that always seems to land on his feet no matter how incompetent they may be. We see it in the construction industry a lot.

The coverage on local news last night was not great. This seems to be getting worse for us when it could have been over and done a long time ago. Way to go Sunny, you fraud.
