I think for the most part that attendance was very good this year. It's been a long time since we have had any visitors to Amon Carter. Some of you were not around during the SWC days when we would have 30,000 at a game and half were the visitors.
I've never seen ACS more than half filled with visitors including many SWC games.

Weak and quiet too.......didn't hear much from them the whole game besides their band. I think they were more biting their nails than anything. They tried a "BOOMER - SOONER" chant a couple of times in the South Endzone but it quickly died. The one's I talked to were decent folks. I did not encounter a single bad one. I had the same experience when I went up there in 2005.

I think Tech in 06 brought more fans than any team this season. Likewise, BYU likely brought as many as any team this season if not more.

Without the plus 4, I think we see as many opposing fans, they would just not be in TCU sections.

id say 65/35 TCU to OU fans.

So, roughly 31,000 TCU fans and 16,000 OU? That's based on the 47,000 total attendance, using your 65/35 breakdown.

That doesn't seem right based on the visual. I also doubt TCU would have only 31,000 fans for a game like this, when we outdrew that number for most MWC games with only our own fans.

Attendance was fine. There were not 16k sooner fans. Maybe 7k. Their notise was basically no factor except the band coming out of tv timeouts.

As much purple as there was...there was red mixed in and all of the northwest and northeast corners were red. 16,000 as the absolute max - I'd say the exact number of them were somewhere from 8,000-16,000. They were not sitting where the cameras generally pointed.

bullspit on this. I was there in the club seating and it was 98% frog in our section and in most. the non club section I cant vouch for. dont blame the +4 this time

Come over to the east side where most of the Plus four tickets are. OU fans all over the chair backs. Four to eight in a group on the first row of 234 which is midfield.

Helps that the student section gets a lot of the camera action. Having it stretch goal to goal actually helps the imagery quite a bit. It is kind of a cool Cameron Indoor effect over there.

the sooner fans i brought to the game were very complimentary on our stadium and thought our student section was huge and the coolest student section they've ever seen....

Maybe Del Conte's office can gently suggest that high-points season ticket holders release tickets that weren't used or were under-used. Maybe the donation levels that entitle people to +4 tickets can be inflated.

Oh, they were used. To make money by the +4's. Once again had visitors sitting front, back, and next to us in our "TCU" season tickets. All in groups of 4. Hmmm.

What's really disgusting is sitting midfield east side and looking directly across at the TCU side and seeing all the empty seats between the 30s in the 100s and 200s, and surprisingly, even the 300s for the OU game. Although I did notice more visitors colors in those seats than in another games. Maybe a lot of +4's decided not to even come to the country club in the stadium and sold those tickets, too.

Pathetic. Reseat the stadium, Mr. DelConte. And this time, no +4's until all season ticket holders get a chance to buy their regular allotment.

The stadium was about 15% OU fans. Too many melodratic whiney [Craig James] people on here. "My porrage is too hot...my porrage is too cold...waaaaa....waaaaa......waaaa!"

The problem was not the 9k or so Sooner fans. Without the +4, they still all would have gotten seats. No one is complaining that the visitors actually bring some fans.

No, problem is that these fans are in the middle of the TCU sections fire to an idiotic policy. If not for the plus 4, they all would have been well away from the field.
