GoFrogs: TCU Comes Up Short vs. No. 2 Texas

FORT WORTH – TCU women's tennis (9-12, 3-6) ended the 2021 regular season with a 7-0 loss to No. 2 Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth. This was the final home match of the season for TCU's two graduating seniors, Marie Norris and Tate Schroeder.

  • TCU put up a strong effort against the No. 2 ranked team in the nation. All but one of TCU's defeats came against ranked opponents/doubles teams.
  • Marie Norris finishes her senior season with a team-best 32 victories (18-6 singles & 14-9 doubles).
  • She is on track to become just the second Horned Frog to finish the season ranked in both singles and doubles since TCU joined the Big 12.
  • Tate Schroeder finishes the season with 14 victories, five singles and nine doubles.
  • She earned a career-best singles ranking of No. 46 earlier this season.
  • This was just the fourth dual loss of the season for Mercedes Aristegui. She falls to 15-4, her best dual record as a Horned Frog.
  • The Horned Frogs are now 55-57 in singles matches this dual season.
