GoFrogs: Williams Transfers To TCU

Fort Worth –
TCU volleyball and head coach Jason Williams announced the addition of Baylor transfer Callie Williams to the 2022 roster. She heads to TCU for her final year of eligibility after three seasons at Baylor.

This will mark Williams' sixth collegiate season. The Waco, Texas native began her collegiate campaign at Tennessee in 2017 before transferring to Baylor. The setter sat out her first year at Baylor due to NCAA transfer rules. She is a three-time academic all-conference performer. She has been a member of four NCAA Tournament squads in her time as a collegiate athlete.

In two seasons at Tennessee, Williams appeared in 58 games. She averaged 4.97 assists per set and 1.58 digs per set. As a freshman, she led the Vols with 21 aces and 541 assists. In her sophomore season, she appeared in 31 games and finished the year with 24 aces and 533 assists, both of which ranked second on the team.

After sitting out the 2019 season, Williams played in 25 matches and started 15 for the Bears in 2020. She led the team in assists with 599. She posted 21 double digit assists contests and recorded eight double-doubles, while helping lead the Bears to a 20-win season.

Last season, the redshirt senior appeared in 26 of Baylor's 28 matches. The senior was third on the team in assists, totaling 81. She aided the Bears to a 22-7 record and a third-round appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Williams' final collegiate season will mark her fourth season playing under the guidance of her father, Jason. Williams was hired as head coach at TCU in the spring of 2022.
