TCU to Make 18th Straight Postseason Appearance
Horned Frogs receive an at-large bid and are headed to the Central Regional in Oklahoma
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The TCU women's golf team received an at-large bid Monday and will make its 18th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance.
The Horned Frogs will begin play May 9 at the Central Regional in Norman, Okla.
The streak of 18 straight NCAA postseason appearances for the women's golf team ranks second at TCU, behind only the 23 in a row by the men's golf program.
Eight teams and two individuals at each of the three regional sites advance to the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship May 21-24 in Athens, Ga. TCU has reached the NCAA Championship in four of the last six seasons.
TCU is seeded 15th in the NCAA Central Regional. Joining the Horned Frogs in the 24-team regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course in Norman, Okla., are top-seed Duke, host Oklahoma, Florida, Washington, Arizona State, UC Davis, Texas Tech, NC State, Michigan State, Iowa State, SMU, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Wake Forest, Gonzaga, Indiana, UTSA, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, Lamar, Illinois State, Detroit and Butler.
