Quotes of the Match
Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer
Opening Statement
"Kansas played really well today. Our girls came in and we had a really good practice last night and a great serve and pass. I thought they looked good and had a really great warm-up. They had a phenomenal warm-up and then didn't execute that in the same fashion when we played. Every time that you play somebody, a lot of that has to do with what the other team is doing and a lot of that has to do with yourself and are you bringing your best to the table. I thought Kansas played really great defense and at the same time, we weren't very aggressive.

"Their setter did a really good job of distributing the ball and Kelsie Payne is a special player. She is a tough one for us to stop and she played really well tonight. Natalie (Gower) led us in kills and she did an amazing job in the middle. I was really happy to see that. For us, the most important thing is that our mindset needed to be much more aggressive both offensively and defensively. Our moves blocking wise could have been more aggressive and especially with tight balls. We served really well at the beginning and they passed some balls tight that we didn't take care of and little things like that. Those things are really big when you are playing a great team. Kansas did not let us off the hook for anything tonight and that is what showed in the score.
