Horned Frogs Drop Home Finale
FORT WORTH, Texas – A win in the opening set was not enough for the TCU volleyball team as the Horned Frogs dropped three straight sets to give Kansas State the 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 25-21) victory on Wednesday afternoon in the regular-season finale at The Rickel inside the University Recreation Center.

The Frogs (15-12, 7-9 Big 12) jumped out to an eight-point advantage to open the match against the Wildcats (15-12, 5-11 Big 12), but Kansas State chipped away at the lead and was able to even up the battle at 15-15. The teams went back-and-forth until a kill from Anna Walsh and an error by the Wildcats gave TCU the advantage to take the opener, 27-25. The battle continued into the next three sets, but costly errors by the Frogs along with a hot Kansas State offense that put down 67 kills on a .316 hitting clip proved to be the difference as the Wildcats came back to take the match in four.

Three TCU players scored double-digit kills as the Frogs were led by a pair of rookies. Katie Clark led the offense and finished with 15 kills while élan McCall put down 14 kills. Anna Walsh competed in her final match for TCU and finished with 12 kills on a .300 hitting clip. McCall recorded a double-double with 16 digs while Berklie Baker and Lexi MacLean helped out on defense with 18 and 14 digs, respectively. Tori Dilfer guided the offense with 45 assists and also recorded one service ace and eight digs.
