GoFrogs: Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule

FORT WORTH – TCU head coach Jill Kramer has announced the 2021 volleyball schedule. The 26-match schedule consists of 16 home matches in Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, nine road matches and one neutral site contest.

For the second consecutive season, the Big 12 schedule will be comprised of 16 matches scheduled in eight double-headers. Competition against the same opponent will occur at the same site in consecutive days, unless extenuating circumstances. The host site for the series is reversed from last season's schedule. The team(s) that finishes with the highest winning percentage will be crowned the Big 12 champion.

The Horned Frogs open the season with a pair of matches against top programs in the Big 12/Big Ten Challenge in Madison, Wisc. TCU will battle 2021 national semifinalists Wisconsin in the season opener on August 27, followed by a date with Minnesota, the 2021 NCAA Tournament No. 3 seed, the following day (August 28).

After an opening weekend on the road, TCU returns to its home court in Schollmaier Arena for an eight-match home stand to finish off non-conference play. The Frogs will host Nicholls, UTRGV and UMBC in the Cowtown Classic (Sept. 2-3) followed by the Fight in the Fort against Louisiana Tech, North Florida and Houston Baptist (Sept. 9-10). The non-conference schedule concludes the following week when TCU takes on Incarnate Word (Sept. 14) followed by the 22nd all-time match against SMU on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 18).

The Big 12 schedule features four road series and four home series, beginning with a road trip to Iowa State (Sept. 24-25). TCU hosts Oklahoma, Kansas State, Baylor and West Virginia this season with road series against Iowa State, Texas, Texas Tech and Kansas.

The Horned Frogs will take on five teams from last season's NCAA Tournament: Wisconsin (Big Ten champions), Minnesota (At-Large), Texas (Big 12 champions), Baylor (At-Large) and UMBC (America East champions).
