Van Lith, Prince Tabbed USBWA, Associated Press All-Americans
Are the fourth and fifth All-Americans in TCU women’s basketball history

FORT WORTH – Two All-Americans will take the court for TCU when the Horned Frogs open the NCAA Tournament Friday afternoon.
Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince received a pair of All-American honors from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Van Lith was tabbed a third team All-American by both publications while Prince received two sets of honorable mention All-American accolades.
They are the fourth and fifth All-Americans in program history. TCU last produced an All-American in 2010 when Helena Sverrisdottir garnered honorable mention recognition in 2010 from the AP and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Van Lith, the Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year, is averaging a team-leading 17.9 points and 5.3 assists per game ahead of the opening round of the Big Dance. She is one of 10 players nationally with a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio and at least 180 assists. She has finished with 15 points and five assists in 15 games, the third-most of any player behind only Kentucky's Georgia Amoore (19) and Virginia's Kymora Johnson (16).
Prince is one of only two players averaging a double-double vs. ranked teams. The 6-7 center averages 18.4 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game opposite the AP Top 25. She ranks third nationally in blocks (99, 3.0 bpg). Prince has finished with three-or-more blocks on 17 occasions and recorded eight games with at least five rejections. Her 17 multi-block games are the fourth-most of any player in America.
Both players remain in contention for major national awards as the 2024-25 season hits its apex. Van Lith is one of 10 semifinalists for Naismith Women's College Player of the Year. Prince is among the final five players challenging for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award and was chosen as a semifinalist for Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. The graduate duo are also two of 15 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, presented annually to the nation's top player, and the Wooden All-American team.
TCU hosts No. 15 seed FDU at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the round of 64. The Horned Frogs, who were awarded the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, are making their 10th all-time appearance in March Madness and first since 2010.
