EUGENE, Oregon -- TCU senior Lorraine Ugen picked up First-Team All-American honors Wednesday at the NCAA Championships with a fourth-place finish in the women's long jump at Hayward Field located on the campus of the University of Oregon.
 
Ugen, who entered the meet as the defending NCAA champion in the event, recorded the mark of 21 feet on her first jump. She fouled on her next four jumps before recording a jump of 19-11.75 on her final attempt.
 
She is now a six-time TCU All-American.
 
The men's and women's relays teams earned Second-Team All-American honors. The men's team of Ramone Bailey, Ronnie Baker, Cameron Echols-Luper and Sam Watts finished 10th in the semifinals with the time of 39.52 seconds, just missing out on moving on to the finals.
 
The women's 4 x 100 relay team consisting of Iphona-Clemence Paiement, Judy Emeodi, Ugen and Sabrina Moore placed 15th with the time of 44.92. The top eight teams qualified for the finals.
 
In addition to running in the 4 x 100 relay, Baker competed in the 100 meters and posted the time of 10.74 and did not qualify for the finals.
 
On Thursday, Megan Smith (discus, 4 p.m.), Baker (200 meters semis, 6 p.m), Jordan Moore (110H semis, 7:05 p.m.) and the men's 4 x 400 semis (8:20 p.m.) and the women's 4 x 400 semis (8:20 p.m.) will compete.
 
The finals are set for Friday and Saturday.
