GoFrogs: Three-point Attack Leads Frogs Past Wildcats
FORT WORTH Desmond Bane knocked down five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points as the TCU men's basketball team defeated Kansas State, 68-57, Saturday afternoon inside Schollmaier Arena.

The senior guard nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with eight rebounds and a career-high eight assists. Bane commanded the TCU offense (14-11, 5-7) which combined for 15 3-pointers, tying its most-ever in Big 12 Conference play. As a team, the Frogs were a combined 15-of-33 from deep (45.5 percent). Bane was 5-of-10 from three.

Despite leading for the majority of the first half, the Wildcats (9-16, 2-10) closed the half on a 13-2 run to lead 27-26 at the half. TCU quickly regained the lead out of the locker room, thanks in part to the 3-point shooting of Bane and RJ Nembhard. The veteran guards were a combined 8-of-15 from beyond-the-arc.

The hot shooting sparked a 10-0 run for the Frogs. Jaire Grayer joined in on the 3-point party, knocking down two in the first half and two in the second. He tied his season-high with 15 points and added six rebounds in 33 minutes of action.

TCU began to find some separation as it built up a 61-52 lead, with just 3:25 left to play. Defense and ball handling helped close out the game as the Frogs did not commit a turnover in the final 10:20 of the game and only surrendered five points in the final four minutes.

Nembhard also finished with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting including 3-of-5 from deep.
