SERIES HISTORY
- As a Big 12 member, TCU is 5-2 against Texas.
- Saturday is the 90th meeting between TCU and Texas. The Longhorns hold a 63-25-1 advantage in a series that began with an 18-10 Texas win in 1897.
- TCU is 11-28 against the Longhorns in Fort Worth, including wins in the last two home games. The Horned Frogs are 14-35-1 versus Texas in Austin.
- Texas is TCU's fourth-most played series. The Horned Frogs' 89 games with the Longhorns trail only Baylor (114), SMU (99) and Texas A&M (92).

THE KINGSMEN CONNECTION
- TCU head coach Gary Patterson served in 1987 as the defensive coordinator at Cal Lutheran, alma mater of Texas head coach Tom Herman.

FAMILY TIES
- TCU center Coy McMillon's brother, Jake, was a three-year letterman (2015-17) at Texas as a defensive lineman and offensive guard. He played in 34 games with 16 starts.
- Former Texas wide receiver Jerrod Heard's younger sister, Lauren, is a junior guard for the TCU women's basketball team.
- Lauren Heard started 34 of 35 games last season, averaging 8.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

IT'S 2019
- In six of the last eight odd-numbered years (2003, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2017), TCU has won at least 11 games.

FOURTH IS FINE FOR NOW
- The Horned Frogs were picked fourth in the 2019 Big 12 Media Preseason Poll.
- The last two times TCU was predicted fourth or lower, it won a Big 12 Championship (2014) and played in the Big 12 Championship Game (2017).

PLAYING D
- TCU is No. 1 in the Big 12 and 11th nationally in total defense, allowing just 281.0 yards per game. The next-closest team in the Big 12 is 45.3 yards behind the Horned Frogs (Oklahoma, 326.3).
- The Horned Frogs lead the nation in fewest first downs allowed at 76 (12.7 per game).

NO PICKS
- TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan has not thrown an interception in 142 pass attempts. The school record is 154, set by Jeff Ballard in 2006.
- Duggan's streak without a pick currently ranks as the third-longest in the nation.

TCUNOTABLES
- Over the last six seasons, TCU (50-22, 31-17) has the Big 12's second-best overall and conference records.
- TCU is one of just six programs nationally to finish in the top 10 of the final polls at least three times (2014, 2015, 2017) in the last five seasons. The others are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
- TCU has five 11-win seasons this decade, equaling the combined number of the 11 other FBS programs in the state.
- Patterson, at 19 seasons, is the nation's second-longest tenured head coach, trailing only Iowa's Kirk Ferentz (21st year).
- Under Patterson, TCU has posted seven top-10 finishes and 11 in the top 25. The Horned Frogs have won at least 10 games in 11 of the last 17 seasons.
- Patterson has accounted for 26.0 percent (170 of 654) of TCU's all-time football victories.
- The Horned Frogs have 48 freshmen (true and redshirt) on their 118-player roster.

REMEMBER WHEN?
- One of the more memorable wins in TCU history was a 6-0 victory at No. 1 Texas on Nov. 8, 1961.
- The lone score in the game was a second-quarter touchdown pass from Sonny Gibbs to Buddy Iles.
