GoFrogs: TCU's Men Crack USTFCCCA Top 25

For the first time this outdoor season, the TCU men's track & field team cracked the Top 25 in the USTFCCCA's weekly rankings, coming in at No. 25 for the week of May 16.

This ranking is fresh off the Big 12 Championships where the Frogs won three gold medals.

Devin Roberson won the first Big 12 title for TCU this weekend in the discus with a winning mark of 57.36m (188-2). He became TCU's first Big 12 gold medalist in the discus. Heading into the final throw, he was in fourth place and edged out the rest of the competition on his final throw.

Chengetayi (Du) Mapaya continued his dominance in the Big 12 as he won his fifth Big 12 Championship and his third consecutive outdoor title. His winning jump of 16.84m (55-3) puts him at No. 2 in the NCAA and No. 9 in the world.

In the men's 4x100, the Horned Frogs won back-to-back Big 12 titles with their winning time of 38.50 (38.62@). The team of Bryson Stubblefield, Tinotenda Matiyenga, Kundai Maguranyanga and Robert Gregory Jr. ran the fourth-fastest time in the country enroute to their gold medal.

The Frogs were ranked once during the indoor season, coming in at No. 17 the week of Feb. 7.
