THE GAME
• The TCU Horned Frogs (11-3, 2-1) will be back on the road for a pair of Big 12 Conference games this week, first taking on the Iowa State Cyclones (9-5, 1-2) this Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Ames, Iowa.
• Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Cyclones is set for 6:30 p.m. at Hilton Arena.
• Wednesday's game will be streamed live on cyclones.tv.
• TCU and Iowa State will meet for the 17th time overall and for the 15th time since the Horned Frogs became a member of the Big 12 Conference.
• The Horned Frogs will be playing the first of two road games this week, with three of its next five games overall coming away from home.

FROG FAST BREAKS
• TCU picked up a home win over Kansas this past Sunday in Fort Worth, downing the Jayhawks 73-59 at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena.
• The Horned Frogs are 2-1 through the first three conference games for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign and the fourth time overall.
• Three of TCU's 2-1 Big 12 starts have come under head coach Raegan Pebley (2014-15, 2015-16, 2019-20).
• A win at Iowa State would push TCU's Big 12 record to 3-1, giving the Horned Frogs a 3-1 start in conference play for the first time since 2014-15.
• Junior Lauren Heard ranks as the No. 2 player in the Big 12 in both free throw attempts (103) and free throws made (77), while also ranking among the league's best in free throw shooting percentage (.748).
• Senior Kianna Ray continues to climb the ranks in multiple career statistical categories. She is among TCU's top-10 all-time in games played, games started, assists, blocks and three-pointers made.
• Ray, a senior out of Austin, Texas, is now just 32 points away from becoming a member of TCU's 1,000 points club.

SCOUTING IOWA STATE
• Iowa State is coming off back-to-back losses to Oklahoma (81-72) and Texas (81-75), but did open Big 12 Conference play with a 30-point win at Texas Tech (96-66) back on Jan. 3.
• The Cyclones are 9-5 overall and 1-2 in the league standings heading into Wednesday's clash with the Horned Frogs.
• ISU began the week with a NCAA RPI ranking at No. 84.
• Cyclones head coach Bill Fennelly is in his 25th season at the helm of the ISU women's basketball program, boasting a 514-267 overall record in Ames, Iowa.
• ISU ranks as one of the best teams in the country in not committing fouls and then on the other side of the ball, the Cyclones are among the top-5 teams in the nation with a .793 free throw shooting percentage.
• ISU's 77.5 points per game average ranks among the nation's top-25 teams.
• Ashley Joens is one of just 19 players in the country averaging 20+ points per game. Her 23.0 points per game average ranks No. 5 overall and first in the Big 12.
• Joens shoots 48 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc and nearly 85 percent from the charity stripe.
• Joens averages a double-double on the season as she also leads ISU on the boards with 10.4 rebounds per game. She has tallied seven double-doubles on the season.
• Rae Johnson navigates the offense and leads the team with 67 assists.
• Kristen Scott has tallied a team-high 28 blocked shots on the year.

SERIES HISTORY
• TCU and Iowa State head into its 17th meeting all-square at 8-8 in the all-time series.
• TCU won the previous meeting, 76-69 last season in Fort Worth, but ISU has won three of the past five contests.
• The Horned Frogs are 3-5 when playing the Cyclones in Ames, with its last win coming back on Jan. 30, 2018.
• ISU won the initial meeting between the two teams, an 88-60 victory over the Horned Frogs back on Dec. 30, 1986, in Ames.
• TCU and ISU's only neutral court meeting came back in 2010, when the two teams faced off in the Paradise Jam. The Cyclones won the contest 64-59.
