Free event begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday in Schollmaier Arena
FORT WORTH –TCU women's basketball will host an NCAA Tournament selection show watch party on Sunday, March 16 at Schollmaier Arena.
The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 6 p.m. The ESPN Selection Sunday Special airs from 7-8 p.m.
TCU women's basketball and TCU Athletics merchandise from the TCU Campus Store and concessions will be available. Fans will also have an opportunity to take pictures with the Horned Frogs' Big 12 regular season and tournament championship trophies.
TCU clinched automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Big 12 Championship. The Horned Frogs earned their eighth all-time NCAA Tournament berth. TCU last participated in the Big Dance in 2009-10.
The Horned Frogs (31-3, 16-2 Big 12) vaulted to No. 6 in The Associated Press poll on Monday, good for the highest ranking in program history. TCU is tied for the national lead in total wins and improved to 8-2 vs. the AP Top 25 following its semifinal and final victories over No. 16 West Virginia and No. 17 Baylor in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship.
TCU is projected to earn either a 2-seed or 3-seed in the NCAA Tournament. That placement would give TCU hosting rights for the first and second rounds.
The opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament run from March 21-24.
