GoFrogs: TCU Sweeps Oklahoma State In Grand Fashion
FORT WORTH – No. 10 TCU completed the series sweep of No. 12 Oklahoma State with another come-from-behind victory on Sunday. TCU scored seven times in the eighth, highlighted by a Brayden Taylor grand slam, to take a 12-6 victory over the Cowboys.

The Rundown
Phillip Sikes opened the decisive eighth inning with a base hit and the next seven batters reached as the Frogs scored seven times to erase a 6-5 deficit. Luke Boyers drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game and Brayden Taylor followed with a grand slam to put the Frogs on top, 10-6.

Back-to-back walks to Zach Humphreys and Gene Wood followed. After a double steal, Humphreys scored on a wild pitch. Hunter Wolfe bounced a single down the left field line for a 12-6 advantage.

TCU opened the scoring in the first, taking advantage of three walks. A wild pitch would bring home Taylor for a 1-0 lead.

Oklahoma State hit a pair of two-run home runs in the fourth to open up a 4-1 lead, but as was the case the entire weekend, TCU rebounded in the bottom of the frame to tie the game. Elijah Nunez tripled home two runs and scored the game-tying run on a Boyers sacrifice fly.

The Cowboys regained the lead in the fifth, scoring two runs on four hits. Marcelo Perez came on with the bases loaded and got an inning-ending double play.

A Tommy Sacco base hit in the sixth drove in Sikes to pull the Frogs within one, 6-5, setting up the eighth inning fireworks.

Charles King (5-1) picked up the win in relief. He allowed two hits and struck out two in two innings of work. Perez tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts and two walks. Johnny Ray started and allowed four runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out four.
