GoFrogs: TCU Steals Series With Eighth-Inning Comeback
FORT WORTH – No. 20 TCU scored 10 runs in the final three innings to steal a 12-8 victory over No. 9 Texas on Sunday afternoon. The Horned Frogs at one point had trailed 7-2 in the game before they completed the come-from-behind victory with a five-run eighth inning.

The Rundown
Heading into the bottom of the sixth, TCU found itself staring at a 7-2 deficit. Texas built its lead scoring multiple runs in the first and fourth. The Horned Frogs responded each time on solo home runs from Josh Watson in the first and Austin Henry in the fourth.

The Frogs began to mount their comeback in the bottom of the sixth. With two on and two out, Adam Oviedo launched a three-run shot over the bullpen in left to make it a 7-5 ballgame.

After allowing a run in the top of the seventh, the Frogs responded once again with a home run. Hunter Wolfe's two-run shot into the bullpen pulled the Frogs within one, 8-7.

The comeback was completed in the eighth as the Frogs sent 10 men to the plate and scored five times to open up a 12-8 lead. With one out, Oviedo got the rally started with an infield single. Two batters later, Andrew Keefer tied the game with a base hit up the middle. Hunter Wolfe's infield single gave the Frogs a 9-8 lead.

With the bases loaded, Texas threw a ball away attempting to complete an inning-ending double play. On the error, two runs scored. Jake Guenther's double drove in the final run of the inning.

Marcelo Perez (2-0) retired all four batters he faced to pick up the win. He came on with two on and two out in the eight. He struck out Lance Ford to end the inning then set the side down in order in the ninth to lock up the victory.

Stat of the Game:
5 – The Horned Frogs trailed 7-2 after the top of the sixth. It's the second time this season TCU has rallied from a five run deficit to win a game. The Frogs trailed Grand Canyon 5-0 on Feb. 23.

• The attendance of Sunday's game was 4,498 bring the series total attendance to 15,299 for the three game series.
• TCU picked up its third victory when trailing by multiple runs this season.
• TCU collected double-digit hits for the 13thtime this season.
• TCU scored double-digit runs for the 10thtime this season.
• TCU hit four home runs in the game. It's the sixth time this season the Frogs have hit multiple home runs in a game.
• TCU stole multiple bases in a game for the 14thtime this season.

Next Up:
With the victory, TCU improved to 15-7 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs will continue their eight-game homestand Tuesday night when they play host to UTRGV. The game, set to air of FSSW+, is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
