GoFrogs: TCU Stays Alive; Topples Louisiana
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A career day on the mound for Cam Brown helped TCU stave off elimination in the NCAA College Station Regional Sunday afternoon as TCU picked up a 6-1 win over Louisiana. Brown tossed a career-high eight innings and allowed just an unearned run. Brayden Taylor homered to lead the offensive charge.

The Rundown
Cam Brown (5-3) turned in the performance of his career, tossing eight innings. He allowed just one run (unearned) on five hits, walked two and struck out three. The defense aided the cause, turning a pair of double plays. Brown faced the minimum in four of the eight innings.

TCU opened the scoring in the first on a two run blast off the bat of Brayden Taylor.

An eventful bottom of the first saw Louisiana load the bases on two hits and an error with nobody out. Brown got a force out at home and after walking in a run, settled down to strikeout the next two to keep it a 2-1 lead in favor of the Frogs.

A pair of hit batters in the second led to another TCU run. Elijah Nunez came through with a two out single to restore the two run lead, 3-1. Back-to-back doubles to open the fourth from Gray Rodgers and Porter Brown extended the lead to three, 4-1.

Brown again navigated a bases-loaded, one out situation in the fourth, inducing an inning-ending 4-6-3 double play. From there, the Ragin' Cajuns never brought the tying run to the plate.

TCU picked up two big insurance runs in the eighth. Nunez hit as sacrifice fly to drive in Luke Boyers and Tommy Sacco's two out base knock drove in Rodgers for a 6-1 lead. Drew Hill came on in the ninth to close the game.
