LIVE RESULTS

TUCSON, Ariz.--TCU found itself with a piece of the team lead as play was suspended midway through Round 2 of the Arizona Intercollegiate on Monday at Vistoso Golf Club. Sophomore Julien Brun tops all Horned Frogs on the individual leaderboard in a tie for third place.

Most of the 15 teams competing in the tournament have between three to five holes remaining in the second round, which will resume with a shotgun start Tuesday at 8 a.m. MST. The final round will begin immediately after the second round is completed.

The Frogs, making their spring season debut, sit atop the team standings alongside Arizona State at -4. Among the squads in pursuit are No. 1 Cal (-2), No. 5 New Mexico (E) and tournament host Arizona (+2). TCU completed Round 1 in sole possession of first place with a 4-under-par 280, one shot in front of Cal. The Frogs were even par as darkness set in during their second round.

Brun, currently at -5 for the tournament, is -3 in his second round after posting a 2-under 69 to begin the day. He posted five birdies and three bogeys in the opening round before playing bogey-free in his second 18 prior to play being suspended. Brun trails the individual leader, Cal's Joel Stalter (-8), by three strokes entering the final day.

Cole led a late Frogs charge in Round 1 to push TCU into the early lead. He posted seven birdies in 10 holes to finish the first 18 in second place with a 4-under 67. He currently finds himself in sole possession of fifth place with two holes remaining with an even-par Round 2.

Senior Pontus Gad also experienced a solid day in his first competition of the season. He currently sits in a tie for 15th place at +1 thanks to an even-par opening round and +1 score through 15 holes of Round 2. Fellow senior Daniel Jennevret, who is tied for 30th (+4), has rounded out the scoring with an opening-round, 2-over 73 and +2 score so far in Round 2.

Also in competition for TCU are freshman Paul Barjon, who owns a share of 45th place (+7), and sophomore Sarosh Adi, who is tied for 64th (+10) while playing as an individual entry.

TCU wraps up play at the Arizona Intercollegiate Tuesday.

Nice! As I don't know enough about the team, do we have the quality of squad that could compete for a Championship this year? Or is this a positive fluke?

The team will be very very good this year. Obviously julien is great and Having Eli back is a huge boost. Daniel is solid and hopefully Pontus got his head on straight after taking last spring off. Need to shore up the 4th and 5th spots. If Pontus and Paul can fill those spots this team could be elite. If we had gotten andrew Presley to transfer from lsu like we thought he was going to would definitely be a national title contender.

Currently TCU is still -4, but they've slipped to 3rd. New Mexico and California are T-1, both at -6. Looks like all three schools are about midway through their final rounds.

TCU back at a tie for 1st with Cal at -6. TCU is playing holes 7-9, while Cal is 8-11. TCU has three golfers currently in the top 8.

Played varsity golf 3 years as a letterman, really wish I was good enough to play in college. Miss playing in tournaments.

New Mexico just took a 1 stroke lead. Looks like their golfers are a hole or two ahead of the Frogs though, so there's a little time to make that up.

Seems to be a lot of missing scores for some of the players on previous holes so not sure how accurate the standings are. Gad started at 7 but missing 9, Barjon started at 7 and missing 9 & 17, etc.

Players starting to finish and rounds being updated. Brun -6 for the tourney and TCU with a 3 stroke lead but lots of unposted scores still.
