GoFrogs: TCU Runs Win Streak To Four; Tops Baylor 2-1

FORT WORTH –
Behind seven strong innings from Kole Klecker, TCU ran its winning streak to four with a 2-1 win over Baylor Saturday night at Globe Life Field. Garrett Wright recorded the final five outs to secure the win.

The Rundown
Kole Klecker (8-4) was brilliant through seven innings of work. He didn't surrender his first hit of the game until there were two outs in the fifth. The only blemish on his line was a lead-off double that eventually scored in the seventh. He finished the night allowing a run on just three hits. He walked three and struck out two.

With the Frogs clinging to a one run lead in the eighth, the Bears worked two walks to put the tying run at second with only one out. Garrett Wright took over and got two ground outs around an intentional walk to leave the bases loaded. He struck out the side around a one out single in the ninth to secure the win.

TCU picked up its only two runs in the second inning. Cole Fontenelle drew a lead-off walk. After Anthony Silva was hit by the pitch, a wild pitch had both runners in scoring position with nobody out. Karson Bowen's sacrifice fly gave the Frogs a 1-0 lead. Luke Boyers followed with a base hit to extend the lead to 2-0.
