TCU Routs USC, 96-61
LOS ANGELES – Six TCU players scored in double figures as the Horned Frogs routed USC 96-61 in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Friday at STAPLES Center.

TCU (7-1) shot 50.0 percent from the field, made a season-high 12 3-pointers, outscored USC (5-4) in the paint 40-16 and never trailed in the game.

It was a six-point game, 30-24, with 5:37 to play in the first half, before the Frogs went on a 16-2 run to close the period. A 3-pointer by Jaylen Fisherat the halftime buzzer put the finishing touches on a 46-26 first half. Fisher tied a career high, set Wednesday at SMU, with five 3-pointers and finished the game with 15 points, all in the first half.

The TCU lead never dipped below 17 points in the second half as the Frogs were able to clear its bench and play every available player.

Alex Robinson won Most Outstanding Player honors with 15 points, on 5-of-7 shooting, and eight assists. JD Miller and Kouat Noi each scored 14 points. Kevin Samuel recorded a double-double with 10 points and a season-best 13 rebounds. Desmond Bane scored 11 points to round out the double-figure scorers.

TCU will have some time away from competition for finals week and will return to action on Dec. 16 when it hosts Indiana State (5-1) at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.

- TCU won its game in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic for the second-straight season after last year's 84-80 win over No. 22 Nevada.
- TCU ended the first half on a 16-2 run to lead 46-26 at the break. USC's 26 points tied for the fewest its scored in a half all season.
- TCU improved to 36-5 against non-conference opponents under Dixon.
- TCU held USC to 31.6 percent shooting from the field. It's the fifth opponent that has shot below 37 percent against the Frogs.
- TCU shot 50.0 percent from the field and improved to 7-0 when outshooting its opponent.
- TCU outrebounded USC 41-33 and improved to 5-1 this season and 47-13 under Jamie Dixon when outrebounding its opponent.
- TCU led 46-26 at halftime. The Frogs improved to 4-1 this season and 46-9 when leading at the half.
- TCU, which entered the game first in the nation in assists per game, had 22 against USC. It was the fifth time this season the Frogs recorded at least 20 assists.
- TCU was 12-of-30 from 3-point range, a season high for made threes.
- TCU improved to 9-3 under Dixon in neutral site games.

Individual Notes
- Alex Robinson scored 15 points, eclipsing 1,000 points for his collegiate career.
- Robinson finished with a team-high eight assists. It was the seventh time this season he led the team in assists.
- Jaylen Fisher was 5-of-10 from 3-point range. It was his fourth-straight game of at least four made 3-pointers.
- Fisher tied with Robinson for team high honors with 15 points, which matched his season high. It was his fourth-straight game of scoring in double figures.
- Kouat Noi made two 3-pointers. He has hit at least one 3-pointer in 22 of his last 23 games. He finished with 14 points, his fourth-straight game scoring in double figures.
- Kevin Samuel recorded his third double-double of the season with 10 points and a season-high 13 rebounds.
