GoFrogs: TCU Rallies To Win Opener In Extra Innings
SAN DIEGO – The No. 18 TCU Horned Frogs baseball team rallied with five unanswered runs to pick up a 5-4 win in 10 at San Diego Friday night. Isaac Cadena and Karson Bowen keyed the rally with a two-run home run each. Braeden Sloan fanned eighth in four innings of relief.

The Rundown
Braeden Sloan took over in the fourth inning and slammed the door on the San Diego offense, allowing the Horned Frogs to stage a comeback. The junior's final line saw him allow just three hits and one walk while striking out eight over four shutout frames.

Isaac Cadena's one-out, two-run home run in the sixth cut the deficit in half. The comeback was complete in the top of the seventh on Karson Bowen's inside-the-park home run. A line drive clipped off the diving center fielder's glove and rolled to the wall. Bowen raced around the bases and slid in safely to tie the game at four.

The comeback was complete as the Frogs executed after Colton Griffin's lead-off single in the 10th. Griffin stole second and was on third with one out. Cole Cramer delivered the go-ahead sacrifice fly to put the Frogs up 5-4.

Louis Rodriguez (1-0) earned the win in relief. He took over with a runner on first and one out in the ninth. With one pitch, he was out of the inning as Cramer turned a 4-3 double play to send the game to extras. The game ended in similar fashion as Rodriguez got a 6-4-3 double play to end the game.

San Diego built its lead with solo runs in the first and second innings. A two-run fifth highlighted by a successful double steal extended the lead to 4-0.

Caedmon Parker was the Frogs' Opening Day starter. He allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in 4 1/3 innings of work. He walked three and struck out five in the no-decision.
