GoFrogs: TCU Hosts Cincinnati in Regular Season Finale

Bruce Pearl noted at half time that Cincinnati is the taller and more talented team.

TCU won because they played very well on both ends of the court, with focus; polished with few mistakes. They had to get this done today while CINCY was draining defended threes from 5 feet behind the line. Easily could have been a 19 point win instead of 10.

Credit Dixon and the assistant coaches - they have down a terrific job keeping this team together and improving; now playing their best, and it is good ball that is fun to watch.

Did you see Joe Lunardi's shot at Pearl in the 3/3 Bracketology update? Pearl apparently was lobbying for his son's Auburn team over undefeated Miami. Lunardi pointed out that road teams win less than 33% of the time...and that Miami had 4 more road wins than Auburn had road games.

Then he left it up for three days...when Bracketology is refreshed daily this time of year. Made me wonder if Lunardi was ill, but maybe he was just salty.

From the game recap on espn.com...

"TCU pulled away in the second half with an early 9-0 run that put them ahead 45-35, and it led by double-figures for most of the final frame. The Frogs did not make a basket in the last 3:28, but went 10-for-12 from the charity stripe to secure the win."

10-12 on free throws to close out the game is scheissing awesome. Probably could have pulled out a few of those close losses had we shot that well from the line all season.
