GoFrogs: TCU Football Radio Broadcast Named Best in the State

FORT WORTH -- For its radio call of the TCU football team's 34-13 win at Purdue last season, the Horned Frogs Sports Network has been recognized by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for providing the best live sports play-by-play call in the state of Texas.

It's the 13th time since 2003 for TCU to receive the award. The TCU radio crew consists of play-by-play voice Brian Estridge, color analyst John Denton, sideline reporter Landry Burdine and studio host Kyle Tait. TCU's radio broadcasts originate from flagship station WBAP 820 AM.

The TAPB is a non-profit organization comprised of the various Texas radio and television stations that subscribe to the Associated Press wire service. Each year, the TAPB recognizes excellence and achievement in journalism with awards in various categories. The competition is divided by market size. TCU competes in the major market category of college and professional broadcasts.

The TAPB, in conjunction with similar groups in other states, organizes and conducts contests and presents awards for outstanding achievements in the field. Presented annually at the group's convention, these awards deliver well-deserved praise from a community of peers.
