STILLWATER, Okla. – Turnovers and an off night from 3-point range hurt the TCU men's basketball team in a 72-57 loss at Oklahoma State Wednesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Desmond Bane led the Frogs (13-9, 4-5 Big 12) with a game-high 16 points, tied the team-high with eight rebounds and tied his career-high with six assists. He was 2-of-5 from 3-point range, part of a 4-of-19 effort and a season-low 21.1 percent effort from three for TCU. The Cowboys (11-11, 1-8 Big 12), which had just eight turnovers and forced 17 takeaways, were led by Isaac Likekele's first career double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.

Oklahoma State started 6-of-9 from the floor while TCU started 3-of-11, as the Cowboys jumped out to an early 14-7 lead. The Horned Frogs fought back to take their first lead of the game at 28-26 with 2:43 remaining in the first half. However, the Cowboys would close the half on a 10-2 run to lead 36-30 at the break.

TCU opened the second half on a 13-4 run to take a 43-40 lead with 14:17 remaining. The Oklahoma State defense then held TCU without a field goal for over 10 minutes, part of a 19-2 scoring run. Overall, the Cowboys outscored the Horned Frogs 32-14 over the final 14 minutes to seal a 72-57 win over TCU.

Up Next
TCU will return home after playing five of its past seven games on the road and host No. 3 Kansas (19-3, 8-1) Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2. The Horned Frogs will play at home every Saturday for the remainder of Big 12 Conference play.

Individual Notes
- Desmond Bane played in his 131st game as a Horned Frog to tie Karviar Shepherd (2013-17) for third on the all-time list at TCU.
- Bane scored a game-high 16 points, tied a team-high with eight rebounds and tied his career-high with six assists.
- Bane made a pair of 3-pointers in the contest to pass Bingo Merriex (2000-03) for fourth in all-time 3-pointers made in TCU history with 218 career triples.
- RJ Nembhard scored 14 points, giving him his 14th double-digit scoring output of the season.
- Nembhard tied his career-high with eight made free throws.
- Francisco Farabello led all reserves with eight points on 3-of-5 shooting, including 2-of-3 shooting from 3-point range. It was his sixth game with multiple 3-pointers made.
- Jaedon LeDee scored four points and hauled in five rebounds, his highest rebounding total in conference play this season. LeDee finished 2-for-3 from the floor, his first missed shot in nine games.
