FORT WORTH – The pitching duo of Caedmon Parker and Mason Brassfield combined to hold No. 22 Kansas to just two runs as TCU secured the series sweep with a 7-2 win on Sunday afternoon. TCU used two big innings to run its Big 12 winning streak to eight straight games.

The Rundown
Kansas drove the second pitch of the game over the left field fence to take an early 1-0 lead. The lead would only last until the third when the Horned Frogs erupted with four runs on five hits to take a lead it would never relinquish.

Anthony Silva and Nolan Traeger singled to open the inning. Jack Bell doubled down the right field line to give the Frogs a 2-1 lead. Sawyer Strosnider's sacrifice fly pushed the lead to 3-1. Cole Cramer followed with a base hit and scored on a Noah Franco double.

Kansas picked up a run in the fourth after a lead-off single, but with the tying runs on base, Caedmon Parker's sixth strikeout of the game ended the rally with the Frogs holding a 4-2 lead.

The Jayhawks threatened with a runner on third and one out in the sixth. Mason Brassfield (4-1) fanned the final two batters of the inning to keep it a two-run ballgame, 4-2.

TCU scored three huge insurance runs in the eighth to open up a 7-2 lead. Strosnider led off the inning with a base hit and stole second. He scored easily on Cramer's second hit of the afternoon. Chase Brunson's home run gave the Frogs a five-run lead.

Parker finished his outing allowing two runs on four hits over four innings. Brassfield took over in the fifth and shut down the Kansas offense, allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out seven in five scoreless innings.
