Final Stats |  Notes

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State scored six unanswered runs as it picked up a 9-4 victory over TCU Sunday to earn the series win. Jerrick Suiter tied his career-high with three RBIs in the game.

The Horned Frogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in first. Boomer White started the rally with a base hit. Derek Odell followed with another hit to put two on. Back-to-back two-out singles from Jerrick Suiter and Dylan Delso gave the Frogs the early lead.

A lead-off error in the bottom of the second proved costly as the Cowboys stormed back to take the lead. Alexander retired the next two batters but two walks loaded the base. Craig McConaughy legged out an infield single to drive in the first run of the frame and Gage Green hit a two-run double to give the Cowboys the lead.

Oklahoma State returned the favor in the third as White reached on a lead-off error. Odell fought through a 10-pitch at-bat before taking a pitch off the helmet to put two on. With one out, Suiter doubled to the gap in right center to put the Frogs back on top, 4-3.

The see-saw battle continued as the Cowboys fought back in the bottom of the inning. The first four batters of the inning reached and two scored to make it a 5-4 game in favor of the Cowboys. Trey Teakell came on in relief and retired all three batters he faced to keep the deficit at one.

A hit batter and a walk to open the fourth inning helped the Cowboys add a run to their lead. Gage Green and Donnie Walton executed a double steal with one out and Green scored on a Tanner Krietemeier ground out to make it a 6-4 contest.

The Cowboys double their lead in the sixth. Conor Costello doubled with one out and scored on a two-out home run off the bat of Zac Fish. Oklahoma State added its ninth run of the game in seventh on an RBI single from Donnie Walton.

Oklahoma State's bullpen shut down the Frogs in the final six innings of the ballgame. The Frogs had just three base runners courtesy of two hit batters and a walk.

Tyler Alexander (3-3) started and took the loss after allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits. He walked two and struck out two. Teakell gave up two runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings of work. Brian Trieglaff was touched for the final two OSU runs. Travis Evans pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings.

TCU drops to 15-11 overall and 2-4 in Big 12 play. The Frogs will wrap up a four-game road trip Tuesday night at UT Arlington. First pitch at Clay Gould Ballpark is set for 6:30 p.m.
