FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball team will wrap-up its pre-holiday schedule Wednesday night against Georgia. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. inside Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The Horned Frogs bring a 6-5 record into the Wednesday night tilt between two NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. Admission into the game is only $1.00, while fans will also be treated to $1.00 hotdogs.

TCU is coming off a 94-76 drubbing of Sam Houston State this past Sunday. In the game, the Frogs shot over 60 percent from the floor at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. TCU, who led by as many as 33 points Sunday, went 34-of-56 from the floor to post the second-highest field goal percentage in a single-game in program history.

The Purple and White will next be in action Thursday, Dec. 30 against Texas Southern. Start time is set for 6:30 p.m.

A Look Back At The Sam Houston State Contest
TCU shot over 60 percent from the floor Sunday night and rolled to a 94-76 decision over Sam Houston State at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Overall, TCU couldn't be stopped during first half play, going 20-of-31, including 7-of-12 from behind the arc. The Frogs' 56 points in the first half is currently tied for the fourth-most first half points scored in program history. Emily Carter led all scorers Sunday, torching the Bearkats for 29 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including going 7-of-9 from deep.

Fellow senior Helena Sverrisdottir just missed a triple-double against the Kats, scoring 18 points, while also grabbing 10 boards and dishing out seven assists. DeLisa Gross also scored in double-figures Sunday, tying her career-high with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Finally, Micah Garoutte and Briesha Wynn both added 10 points, respectively.

The All-Time Series
TCU and Georgia will be meeting for only the fifth time in program history Wednesday night. The Lady Bulldogs currently own a 3-1 advantage in the series and have won the last two outings against the Frogs, including an 80-58 decision in its last matchup, which took place in 2006.

TCU's lone win in the four previous meetings came in 2004 when the Purple and White upended Georgia, 64-63. The two teams have only played once at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum with the Lady Bulldogs downing TCU, 81-50, in 2005.

Scouting Georgia
The Lady Bulldogs, who are currently receiving votes in both national polls, come into Wednesday's game with an 8-2 overall record. Georgia's only losses on the season have come at the hands of USC and Georgia Tech.

In its last outing, Georgia held on down the stretch to upend High Point, 66-61. The Lady Bulldogs were led by sophomore Jasmine Hassell, who posted a game-high 16 points. Fellow sophomore Jasmine James chipped in with 13 points and four steals.

James has led UGA so far this winter, averaging 12.1 points per game, while both Hassell and Porsha Phillips both have connected on 11.9 point per game, respectively. Phillips is also averaging an astonishing 11.1 boards per game this season as well.

TCU Versus The SEC
When TCU faces off against Georgia Wednesday night, it will mark only the 47th meeting between the Horned Frogs and a Southeastern Conference school. Since 2000, TCU has notched six victories over SEC competition, including Wednesday night's opponent Georgia in 2004. The Frogs' last played an SEC school in 2007, falling to Florida in overtime, 80-76.

Mittie Impressive Against The SEC
Head Coach Jeff Mittie has fared well recently against SEC schools and will look to continue that trend Wednesday night. At TCU, Mittie has recorded all of TCU's six victories, including wins over Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

Hot-Shooting Propels Frogs To An Impressive Win
In its last outing, TCU had one of its most impressive shooting performances in school history. The Horned Frogs shot over 60 percent against Sam Houston State on 34-of-56 shooting from the floor. By shooting over 60 percent, TCU posted the second-highest field goal percentage in a single-game in program history. In 1996, the Horned Frogs shot 61.2 percent from the field against McMurray.

A Closer Look At Pre-Holiday Games
With Christmas right around the corner, TCU will try and continue some recent success under head coach Jeff Mittie prior to the break. Since 2003-04, the Frogs are 4-3 in the final game leading up to the holiday break having defeated one nationally ranked team in then No. 17 DePaul in 2006-07. Last season, TCU downed Sam Houston State, 83-65.

Frogs Back On The Tube
When TCU takes on Georgia Wednesday it will mark the first time this season the Purple and White will play on national television. The Frogs have fared quite nicely during television games the last two season's, going 14-7 during regular-season play. Last season, TCU went an impressive 10-2 when playing in front of a national audience during regular-season action.

Horned Frogs Continue To Impress In NCAA
Through 11 games, the Frogs have done quite nicely among the nation's best. TCU ranks No. 24 overall in 3-point field goal percentage (.373). The Horned Frogs also moved into the top 45 in scoring offense, ranking No. 42 overall after an impressive showing against SHSU. Finally, TCU sits No. 38 nationally in free-throw percentage (.739).

Individually, Emily Carter paces the Frogs', ranking No. 11 overall in scoring average with a 21.7 average. Fellow senior Helena Sverrisdottir sits No. 52 in points per game, while averaging 17.7 points. Carter also ranks No. 23 in free throw percentage (90.6) and in the top-30 in 3-point field goal percentage (.444) and attempts per game (2.9).

TCU In The Mountain West Conference
11 games into the season, the Horned Frogs lead the conference in scoring offense (73.7), free throw percentage (.739), field goal percentage defense (.347) and 3-point field goal percentage (.373). The Frogs also sit No. 2 in scoring margin (+10.7), defensive rebounds (29.5) and 3-point field goals made (82).

Individually, Emily Carter leads the conference in scoring average (21.7) and free throw percentage (.906). She also ranks in the top 2 in three-point field goals made (32). Helena Sverrisdottir currently sits No. 4 in scoring (17.7) in the conference. Sophomore DeLisa Gross is also among the league leaders in field goal percentage with a .528 average through 11 games.

Passing The Rock
Following her seven-assist effort against SHSU Sunday, senior Helena Sverrisdottir needs only 20 more assists to become TCU's all-time leader in assists for a career. The All-America candidate, who has 442 for her career, will look to pass former Frog great Jill Sutton this Wednesday. Sutton currently sits No. 2 with 445 assists between 1997-2001, while Natasha Lacy holds the current record with 461 assists between 2003-2006.
