Glad it was Sam Myers thrown out for the final out! That little defector caused Brunson to injure himself. He got hits and made some good plays. In other words, I wish he was still a Frog.

Myers was probably told he wasn't going to see much playing time after hitting .235 with 14 RBI last season.
You also have to remember rosters this season are limited to 34.

Surprised that Sam got his avg up to .235 last year. Looked awful. But he’s playing better this year for ASU in a limited role. Kleck also doing OK with 4.50 earnie. Announcer said he pitches on Sunday???

He looked a bit shaky receiving the first couple of weekends to me. (I swear I heard KS mention in an interview that he was battling a bruised thumb or something coming into the season.) But I will say he’s looked a LOT more calm and smooth back there these last couple of weekends. Blocking mechanics look stronger and his glove is really quiet now. (He still pokes at balls now and then and that lets a few pop off the glove.) So maybe he’s getting more comfortable playing at this level and his game is taking that next step.
