GoFrogs: TCU Athletics Announces Changes to Gameday

– With the start of another athletics season approaching, TCU has announced a few gameday changes, which include cashless concessions and a new gameday timeline for football.

Cashless Concessions
Starting with Thursday's 7 p.m. women's soccer match against Wisconsin, concession stands and bars at all TCU athletic venues will be cashless. TCU Athletics will accept all major credit cards, Visa gift cards and all forms of non-contact payment, including Apple & Google Pay.

The decision to go cashless comes at a time when many in the DFW Metroplex have already made the switch to non-contact payment, including the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers.

With the removal of cash, fans should see quicker transactions and a more sanitary experience for fans and staff.

Football Gameday Timeline
Beginning with the football home opener on Sept. 10 against Tarleton State at 7 p.m., all gates to Amon G. Carter Stadium will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

All parking lots will open five hours prior to kick, Frog Alley opens three hours prior and the team arrives for Frog Walk two hours before kick.

5 hours – parking lots open
3 hours – Frog Alley opens
2 hours – team arrives
90 minutes – all gates open

Happy Hour
Happy Hour specials are back at Amon G. Carter Stadium this season. Discounted concessions will be offered from 90-30 minutes prior to kickoff.
Souvenir Pepsi - $3.00
16 oz. Beer - $3.00
Hot Dog, Peanuts/Popcorn/Nachos - $3.00

Disappointed. I though for sure it was the end of “Welcome to the Jungle”

the real question is what is the future of sandstorm? oh, and no cheeseburgers?

The Hard Rock Stadium canopy—maybe the best stadium addition and gameday change ever for one obvious and shady reason.
