That is the $64,000 question. If the Frogs don't make the post season, can Saarloos survive?
If the Frogs don't make the post season, can Saarloos survive?
Why would we want to do that? So we can keep underachieving? I don’t understand why you think he can turn it around next year.Yes. Give him the opportunity and resources to make necessary changes. Obviously, we'll have a new pitching coach. Hopefully he'll make the changes on the other side as well.
Dykes got a contract extension after finishing 9th in the conference so Saarloos is due one for finishing 8th or better. The Buddie system. If the Frogs don't make the post season, can Saarloos survive?
As if he hasn’t had that to date…..Yes. Give him the opportunity and resources to make necessary changes. Obviously, we'll have a new pitching coach. Hopefully he'll make the changes on the other side as well.
Because we celebrate mediocrity now at TCUWhy would we want to do that? So we can keep underachieving? I don’t understand why you think he can turn it around next year.
There is a lot of truth in this. $$$ is killing us. The degree at Tcu means nothing as the Nil dollar trumps everything and the player graduates not be able to tie his shoesY'all are just going to have to accept the fact that maybe we've peaked in certain areas. It's a new age. New toys. New arms race. We clawed our way to the top in many sports. We did it the right way and then they moved the goalposts. I'm still a fan but I'm no longer a diehard. Y'all seem to think that a championship is in reach but it's not. 2014 proved that it never was. We fooled ourselves thinking if we just did it the right way we can see that mountain top. They were never going to let that happen. Now, we'll never be able to outspend. These kids are on 1 year deals. If things aren't going like they want in the beginning, they'll sulk and pout and know they can go somewhere else next year and still make money. Here's a fact: in the big 3 men's sports, every year we are going to bring new entitled primadonnas on campus, pay them more money than they've ever seen, and they'll come with their [ Finebaum ]ty attitudes and greedy, helicopter parents. And they'll leave. The next year we'll bring in someone else. Rinse, wash, repeat. With the exception of a selection few, no one cares about the logo on the front of the jersey. The only thing they play for is the name on the back. That's fine. I'm just not going to get suckered into the system.
