    A stagnant offense was unable to match a solid defensive showing as TCU fell to No. 3 Kansas, 60-46, Saturday afternoon at Schollmaier Arena. Desmond Bane’s 20 points led the Frogs, which totaled just 18 first half points. TCU cut KU’s deficit to four points with seven minutes to play, but the Jayhawks countered with a 15-4 run to end the game.

    Texas Tech is 15-8 overall and 6-4 in the Big 12 following a 62-57 win at Texas on Saturday. The Red Raiders were down 16 points before winning their second-straight game. Freshman Jahmi’us Ramsey led Tech with 18 points. He leads the team this season with 15.8 points per game, the most of any freshman in the Big 12. Texas Tech is 11-2 at home this season with the only losses coming to current No. 1 Baylor and current No. 15 Kentucky.

    It’s the 136th meeting between TCU and Texas Tech, a series that the Red Raiders lead 83-52 with a 47-15 advantage in Lubbock. TCU is 1-6 all-time against a ranked Texas Tech team, getting the win against the No. 18-ranked Red Raiders on Jan. 21 in Fort Worth, 64-54. TCU has lost its last four games in Lubbock with the last win coming on Jan. 17, 2015, 62-52.
