ABOUT THE GAME
• TCU hits the road for just the second time this season when it makes the short trek down I-35 to Waco to face Baylor on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
• Eight of TCU's 10 scheduled games this season are in Texas. The Horned Frogs don't leave the state until a Nov. 14 contest at West Virginia.
• Prior to last season's loss in triple overtime, the Horned Frogs' four straight victories over the Bears (2015-18) represented their longest winning streak in the series since a run of eight straight from 1964-71.
• TCU's Gary Patterson is 8-4 as a head coach versus Baylor, including a 5-3 mark since TCU joined the Big 12 in 2012.

FORMER CROSSTOWN RIVALS
• After being founded in 1873 in Thorp Spring, Texas, as AddRan Male and Female College, TCU's campus moved to Waco in 1895.
• The name was changed to AddRan Christian University in 1889 and Texas Christian University in 1902.
• TCU relocated to downtown Fort Worth in 1910 when the Waco facility burned down. The University then opened three new buildings on its present campus in 1911.

THE KINGSMEN CONNECTION
• Both head coaches in Saturday's game have a connection to Cal Lutheran.
• Baylor's Dave Aranda graduated from Cal Lutheran in 1999 and was the Kingsmen's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in the 2005-06 seasons.
• Patterson was Cal Lutheran's defensive coordinator in 1987.

• Since 2009, TCU ranks fifth nationally with 42 road wins. The Horned Frogs are 42-19 (.689) in that stretch.

• Over the last six seasons, TCU has the Big 12's third-best conference record (34-24) and overall mark (53-29).
• TCU is one of just seven programs nationally to finish in the top 10 of the final polls at least three times (2014, 2015, 2017) in the last six seasons. The others are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Penn State.
