GoFrogs: TCU Announces Home Men’s Basketball Schedule

– TCU will host 17 men's basketball games beginning with the season-opener on Nov. 7.

The Horned Frogs will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 7, the first meeting between the two schools since Nov. 17, 2007.

TCU will then host three games in seven days starting with Lamar on Nov. 11, followed by Northwestern State on Nov. 14 and ULM on Nov. 17.

The Horned Frogs will then play in the previously announced Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Fla., during Thanksgiving weekend. TCU will play Cal on Nov. 25 at 8:30 p.m. on CBSSN. The winner of that game will play the winner of Clemson and Iowa in the finals on Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. on CBSSN. The two losers will play a consolation game at 3 p.m. on the 26th.

TCU will return home to play defending BIG EAST champion Providence in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle on Nov. 30. It will be a rematch of the game played at Schollmaier Arena two seasons ago.

The Horned Frogs will host Jackson State on Dec. 6 before facing Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 18.

TCU returns its neutral site game with Utah with a game in Salt Lake City, Utah on Dec. 21. The matchup will take place at Vivint Arena, home of the Utah Jazz. The Horned Frogs defeated the Utes, 76-62, last season at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

TCU's home non-conference schedule concludes its first-ever meeting against Central Arkansas on Dec. 28. The Frogs' final non-conference game comes with the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Jan. 28 with a matchup at Mississippi State.

The 18-game Big 12 Conference schedule, including nine home games, will be announced at a later date. Game times and networks will also be announced when available.

Under head coach Jamie Dixon, the Horned Frogs are 70-11 against non-conference opponents and 49-4 against non-conference teams in Schollmaier Arena.

This past season, TCU finished with a record of 21-13 overall and 8-10 with a fifth-place finish in the Big 12. Its schedule ranked as the sixth toughest in the country. The Horned Frogs return all five starters from last season's team which made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 35 seasons.
