    BOX SCORE (PDF)

FORT WORTH – TCU's ninth inning rally fell inches short as the tying run was thrown out at the plate in a 4-3 loss to ULM on Friday night at Lupton Stadium. The Horned Frogs scored three times in the ninth.

    The Rundown
Trailing 4-0 heading into the ninth, TCU brought the winning run to the plate. Brayden Taylor worked a lead-off walk. An error and a hit batter loaded the bases with one out. Luke Boyers drew a walk and Bobby Goodloe grounded out to make it a 4-2 contest. With the tying runs in scoring position, Tommy Sacco lined a single into right. The throw to the plate just nipped Boyers for the final out of the game.

ULM opened the scoring in the third on a lead-off home run from Logan Wurm. The lead grew to 3-0 on a base-loaded two out single from Mason Holt. What proved to be the game-winning run came on a pair of doubles in the sixth.
