GoFrogs: Oklahoma Evens Series With 3-1 Win
NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma evened the Big 12 opening series at a game apiece with a 3-1 win over No. 11 TCU Saturday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Ballpark. Brayden Taylor homered for the second straight game and the fourth time in the last five games.

The Rundown
Kole Klecker (3-2) and Oklahoma's Braxton Douthit went toe-to-to through the first four innings of the ballgame. A pair of walks to the Sooners in the fifth came back to haunt the Horned Frogs and John Spikerman's two out triple gave the Sooners a 2-0 lead.

The Frogs had a golden opportunity to get on the board in the seventh as they loaded the bases on two walks and an error with one out. Oklahoma induced an inning-ending double play ball to keep the 2-0 lead intact.

Brayden Taylor cut the deficit in half with a solo home run in the eighth, but Oklahoma got the run back on a bases-loaded sacrifice in the bottom of the frame.

Klecker took the loss after allowing two runs on three hits. He walked two and struck out four. Ben Abeldt struck out five in his two innings of work.
