GoFrogs: Oklahoma Evens Series; Tops TCU 11-7

FORT WORTH –
Oklahoma evened the series with an 11-7 win over TCU Saturday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. Tommy Sacco, twice, and Luke Boyers homered in the contest.

The Rundown
Oklahoma took advantage of two walks to open the third and turned it into the game's first runs. Peyton Graham singled home two and scored the third on an errant throw to third for a 3-0 Oklahoma lead. Three more runs crossed the plate for Oklahoma in the fifth as the deficit grew to 6-0.

The Horned Frogs got on the board in the fifth. Porter Brown reached on an infield single and scored on Tommy Sacco's ninth home run of the season to make it a 6-2 ballgame. Oklahoma got the runs back in the sixth, striking for four runs on three hits to extend the lead to 10-2.

Luke Boyers hit a two out, two run home run in the sixth, but again, the Sooners answered with a run in the following inning to make it 11-4.

Sacco's second home run of the game, a three run shot with two outs in the ninth, accounted for the final score.

Marcelo Perez (4-2) took the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) on just one hit. He walked six and struck out two. Tommy Vail turned in 1 2/3 scoreless, retiring all five batters he faced.
