Oberkrom Named Lou Groza Award Semifinalist
TCU place-kicker receives the honor for the second time in three seasons

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- TCU's Jaden Oberkrom has been announced as a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award, presented to the nation's top place-kicker.

Oberkrom is the nation's top kick scorer at 11.3 points per game, a mark that ranks sixth overall among all players.

A junior from Arlington, Texas, Oberkrom is 14-of-18 on field goals, including a 37-yard kick as time expired to give TCU a 31-30 victory at West Virginia last Saturday. He is 48-of-49 on extra-point attempts with a TCU single-game record 10 PATs in last month's 82-27 win over Texas Tech.

Oberkrom ranks fourth in Big 12 history with a 69.0 percentage (20-of-29) on field-goal attempts of at least 40 yards. He is fourth on TCU's career list with 50 made field goals. He has two of the four-longest field goals in TCU history, including a career-long 56-yard effort at Kansas State last season.

Oberkrom was also a Lou Groza Award semifinalist as a true freshman in 2012.

TCU's Michael Reeder was the 1995 Lou Groza Award recipient.
