GoFrogs: No. 23 TCU Finishes 4th at Big 12 Championship
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- The No. 23 TCU women's golf team finished fourth as play concluded Tuesday at the Big 12 Championship in Broken Arrow, Okla.
The Horned Frogs now set their sights on making their 22nd postseason appearance in the last 24 years. NCAA Regional play begins May 6.
"We had a lot of fight and grit on the back nine today," TCU Head Women's Golf Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We really came back strong! This is a great conference with championship teams and players. It is definitely a great tournament to prepare for NCAA play."
Sabrina Iqbal was the top Horned Frog, tying for eighth individually to earn All-Tournament honors. Her final round 1-over-par 73 included three birdies on the back nine. She was 3 under her final 11 holes. The freshman from San Jose, Calif., recorded her fourth top-10 finish on the season. She has also been in the top 20 in nine consecutive tournaments.
Annika Clark, TCU's lone senior in the lineup, was 1 under her last 11 holes en route to a 74. Both her birdies came on the back nine. The Highlands, Texas, native posted the 15th top-20 result of her career.
Valeria Pacheco birdied the ninth hole, while Greta Bruner recorded par on 13 holes. Grace Do had two birdies.
