DALLAS – No. 2 TCU faced a stiff challenge on Friday night and passed with flying colors, sweeping No. 17 Stanford, 7-0, in a neutral site affair at the Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex on the campus of SMU.
The Frogs claimed the doubles point and clinched the match with singles victories at one, two and six. No. 12 Lui Maxted and Filip Apltauer snared straight set wins on courts two and six before Jack Pinnington earned the match-clincher, downing No. 35 Samir Banerjee, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
With the win, TCU improved to 35-5 on indoor courts since 2018.
Doubles Rundown
The No. 2 ranked tandem of Lui Maxted and Pedro Vives picked up right where they left off after winning the NCAA doubles crown in November. The pair cruised to a 6-4 win over Samir Banerjee and Nico Godsick on court one to stake TCU to a 1-0 lead.
Cooper Woestendick, a freshman from Olathe, Kansas, made his TCU debut alongside Jack Pinnington on court two. The duo was first to finish with a 6-3 victory over Nathan Barki and Alex Razeghi.
Duncan Chan and Albert Pedrico were in a 5-5 battle with Max Basing and Harsh Hemang Parikh at the time of the clinch.

Singles Rundown
Pinnington capped his season debut with his 35th career singles win and 29th over the last two seasons. The junior from Ashtead, England claimed a three-set battle with the 35th-ranked Banjree. Pinnington took the first set, 6-3 but fell in the second 5-7 but pulled away in the third winning, 6-4.
On court two, No. 12 Maxted also punctuated a 2-0 day, as he enjoyed a drama free win at Basing's expense, 6-4, 6-2. Maxted earned his 11th singles win in 2024-25.
Vives, tabbed ninth in the ITA singles rankings, dropped the first set 7-6(3) on court three in his match vs. Henry Von Der Schulenberg. He was in complete control the rest of the way, hanging consecutive 6-2 frames vs. the Virginia transfer. Vives moved to 8-3 in singles play this season.
On court four, Chan faced Hudson Rivera. He outlasted the upperclassmen in a back-and-forth affair, 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3.
Freshman Albert Pedrico Kravtsov got the nod on court five. The Spaniard moved to 2-0 in the dual season, rallying past Nico Godsick 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.
Apltauer found himself in a thrilling match against Alex Razeghi. The sophomore from Prague, Czech Republic won the first set 7-6(6) and controlled the majority of the second frame en route to a 6-4 clincher.
