No. 11 TCU Takes Care of Kansas State Behind Hendrix's 27-Kill Night
FORT WORTH –Evan Hendrix filled up the stat sheet on Friday night, finishing with 27 kills and 23 digs for her ninth straight double-double in No. 11 TCU's 3-1 victory over Kansas State.Hendrix joins Jalyn Gibson (21 kills & 23 digs against No. 18 Minnesota on Sept. 7, 2024) and Melanie Parra (22 kills & 21 digs at Kansas State on Sept. 22, 2023) as the only players in program history to record 20 kills and 20 digs in the same match.
The Horned Frogs (16-3, 6-1 Big 12) secured their 10th victory in Schollmaier Arena of the season and extended their home winning streak to 18 matches, dating back to last season. It marks their best record through 19 matches since 2011 (also 16-3).
Becca Kelley and Sarah Sylvester also had strong offensive nights. Kelley tallied 13 kills, and Sylvester followed with a career-high 12 kills on a .440 clip. Setter Ella Foti played a big part in the Frogs' success. The senior recorded a double-double that featured a career-best 21 digs.
No. 11 TCU hits the road for a stretch of three consecutive ranked Big 12 matchups beginning with No. 15 Kansas on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
