FORT WORTH – TCU ended the 2025 Big 12 season where it began.

Undefeated and atop the league standings.

The No. 2 ranked Horned Frogs blanked Baylor 4-0 on Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center to win the outright Big 12 Championship.

TCU (21-2, 8-0 Big 12), picked first in Big 12 Men's Tennis Preseason Poll in January, ran the table in league play for the fourth time since joining the league in 2012. The Horned Frogs last finished unbeaten in Big 12 action in 2021 prior to Sunday's result.

The win cemented the program's ninth conference championship since 2015, more than any other program presently or formerly in the league in the last decade. TCU has now won the Big 12 regular season title six times.

The Frogs also held senior day celebrations following the final point and honored three graduating players; Lui Maxted, Luke Swan and Pedro Vives. Together, they are the winningest class in program history. Collectively, the trio has led TCU to a 100-14 combined record and three national titles over the last four years.

"It was an absolute battle," said head coach David Roditi. "Don't let that 4-0 fool you. We celebrated the winningest senior class in the history of TCU. They have a combined 3.4 GPA for all four years. That's remarkable. So proud of that class, and so proud of what they did today. It was hot, it's windy, and they got it done. As a coach, I couldn't be prouder. Now, we go to the conference tournament, we go to Waco, and I'm sure Baylor is going to be waiting for us. We'll see what happens, but today, we're just enjoying the day. Thank you so much for the support and special day celebrating these three."

TCU won the doubles point via a tiebreaker on court two, with Duncan Chan and Albert Pedrico outlasting Devin Badenhorst and Luc Koenig, 7-6 (5). The Horned Frogs then took four of six courts from Baylor (21-9, 6-2 Big 12) in the first set of singles play. Jack Pinnington, Maxted and Roger Pascual claimed courts one, two and six to punctuate the shutout.

The Horned Frogs extended their winning streak vs. Baylor to nine matches dating back to 2023.

TCU has won 12 straight matches since falling one point short in the ITA Indoor National Championships final to No. 1 Wake Forest on Feb. 18. The Horned Frogs and Demon Deacons (33-0) are the lone teams nationwide still unbeaten on the outdoor courts.

The Horned Frogs have claimed 32 straight duals on the purple courts.

Roditi earned his 299th career head coaching victory.

Doubles Rundown
For the second time in the teams' three meetings, the doubles point between the Horned Frogs and Bears came down to a tiebreaker.

And for the second time, it was Chan and Pedrico who delivered for TCU.

Neither team was able to land a break point, forcing the tiebreaker on two.

Initially, it appeared as though Baylor would pull through. The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 head start and led 5-4 on serve. A double fault by Badenhorst, followed by a slice volley by Pedrico on the ensuing point, swung the scoreboard permanently in the Frogs' favor. Chan served out the winning point.

All three courts were level at three games apiece to begin.

TCU got on the board first via a 6-3 victory on the top court by Pinnington and Woestendick over No. 25 Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic. Pinnington and Wostendick, tabbed 70th in the latest ITA rankings, broke leading 4-3.

The tiebreaker on two was nearly avoided altogether. Chan and Pedrico had three match point opportunities ahead 5-4. The duo found themselves up 40-15 on receive but were unable to land a decisive blow.

Filip Apltauer and Lui Maxted faced Alexandru Chirita and Zsombor Velcz in the third position. They scored an early break point en route to assuming a 3-0 lead but ultimately fell, 5-7.

Chan and Pedrico's match featured five deuce points. The underclassmen tandem extended its shared winning streak to five matches. They are now 10-3 as partners.

Pinnington and Woestendick improved to 5-0 vs. ranked pairs and 11-4 overall.

TCU won four of a possible seven deuce points.

The Horned Frogs have been victorious on court one in each of their head-to-heads vs. Baylor this season.

TCU won its 15th straight doubles point on the purple courts dating back to May of 2023. The Frogs' season doubles record now stands at 19-4.

Congrats to the Frogs! We expect conference titles from these guys, but they still had to go out and earn it. With four singles matches going to a third set, anything could have happened. Glad the Frogs finished it off before Baylor picked up momentum.
